Jay Trisolino Poetry Contest Reception
Jay Trisolino Poetry Contest Reception
At the Kirkland Library on May 18th at 7:00 pm,
the Utica Writers Club will be hosting a reception to honor
the winners of the 2nd Jay Trisolino Poetry contest.
The 1st and 2nd place winners will be read along with representatives of the honorable mentions.
There will be light refreshments and time to mingle with the authors after the readings. The event is free and open to the public.
History
Jay Trisolino was a very active and beloved member of the community. He wrote, directed and starred in many plays; wrote volumes of poetry; sang; traveled the world; was a professional tailor; and was even an ambassador for a time.
Although Jay Trisolino has passed away, his spirit and memory continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Because he was such a positive influence on the community, this Award has been established in his honor.
